Revolution – Casting News – Bret Michaels guest starring and performing

EW has learned exclusively that the singer is set to appear on NBC’s drama Revolution, where he will play a post-apocalyptic version of himself.

But which character will come face-to-face with the Poison frontman? You’ll have to wait to see, but we’re told Micheals will be performing an acoustic version (…because, you know, there’s no power) of his band’s hit ballad “Every Rose Has Its Thorn” in the episode, set to air in 2014.

“Bret is truly a great guy. I’m a huge fan of his music and I’m thrilled he’s appearing on Revolution,” creator Eric Kripke said in a statement.

JD Pardo Speaks About Father/Son Relationship & Working w/ Giancarlo (Comic Con – Video Interview)

Comic Con Press 5 300x153 JD Pardo Speaks About Father/Son Relationship & Working w/ Giancarlo (Comic Con Video Interview)“The story this season has really separated everybody. You get to explore their individual lives. It was so tied to Monroe and now that situation is done.”  This seems to be what most of the cast see their characters going and we are hopeful for more character build up and different story arcs as they are separated.

However, will Jason and Tom (Neville) ever be separated or are they in it together for the long run?  JD Pardo explained that family is family: “We’re always on the same side because we’re father and son. I also think they’re tied together through the family bond, blood-wise, but it’s more about acceptance. I think there was so much disappointment for Jason in the first season and he wants to do the right thing.”

Watch the full interview below:

The season for Jason starts with him and Tom heading to Philadelphia looking for his mother.  Pardo added, “leave it at that,” letting us know he could’t say anymore on what was going to happen in the beginning of the second season.

We all know what a brilliant actor Giancarlo Esposito is and when Pardo was asked about working with Esposito, he simple said, “I love him.”
He also added, “He is just so committed to his work. That’s why I got into this. I discovered acting because I love the elements of it.  That’s joy…and integrity…he’s a man of integrity.”

Giancarlo Esposito Talks ‘Revolution’ Season 2, Breaking Bad & Once Upon a Time (Comic Con – Video Interview)

Comic Con Press 4 300x153 Giancarlo Esposito Talks Revolution Season 2, Breaking Bad & Once Upon a Time (Comic Con Video Interview)Best known for his role as Gus Fring in ‘Breaking Bad,’ the actor who plays Tom Neville (Giancarlo Esposito) truly cares about the roles and characters he plays.  With much dedication to Tom Neville, he went straight into discussing his character.  ”I love that the character is complete. Has aspiration, ability, intelligence, and somewhere in there I believe he has a heart. It’s gotten kind of muddy and covered up. I believe part of him wants the best of people and the other wants control. I have the most fantastic character to bring to live for our audience. and I’m in gratitude for that and I don’t think that anyone is completely black and white. I like the fact in one moment Tom could be completely mean and villainous and sh***y and in another moment he could be a guy who understands what your plight in your story might be, but he still has to kill you.”

Season 2 will return with a more grungier look.  A more honest and “real” post-apocalyptic feel.  Esposito explains that “there are no sides anymore, there’s just survival. It’s a world that is completely fresh and new for our viewers and fans.” “People who have hated each other are going to have to start trusting each other,”

Now, is Tom really ready for that kind of change after being a Captain for a good portion of the first season?  ”I kind of hate being dirty all the time, I want my uniform back.”  Looks like Neville is going to have to adjust.

Watch the full interview below as Giancarlo also discusses his time on ‘Breaking Bad’ and shooting ‘Once Upon a Time’ next week:

Now, Giancarlo was not the first to let us know that a heroic character will die in the first episode, but that seemed to be the common theme of “shocking” news for the premiere in September.

Billy Burke Discusses Season 2 and Things He’d Do to Monroe (Comic Con 2013 – Video Interview)

Comic Con Press 8 300x153 Billy Burke Discusses Season 2 and Things Hed Do to Monroe (Comic Con 2013 Video Interview)What happened in the tower, did happen, wasn’t a dream sequence.

Billy Burke is just a cool guy on and off screen and he was at Comic Con to tell us about the new season of Revolution.  When asked about Season 2, he told us “the characters are split up in different bunches and groups all over the place.”  He even joked by saying, “Miles and Monroe don’t have a chance to sleep together anymore.”  When asked about what would happen if Miles finds Monroe, we got “It’s a different kind of love. It goes beyond what people are giggling about. If you have a brother, it’s an unconditional love. So, what would I love to see happen…SEX…I don’t know.”

In other news, particularly love, “Miles finds himself hanging around trying to avoid the love and his feelings of one of the other characters in particular.”  Now who could that be? When asked if the last name was the same as his character, he murmured, “Could be.”  That narrows it down just one lucky lady.

Watch the full interview below:

Now, you are probably wondering how Miles would be affected by Nora’s sudden death in the finale, but Burke says that Miles doesn’t talk about it in the first two episodes (not knowing what’s to come as that is all they’ve read).  Now will it ever be a topic of discussion in the second season?  Possible, but “he doesn’t want to be a victim. It’s not that he’s denying himself of it, it’s just unnecessary for his character.”

Tracy Spiridakos Explains Charlie’s New Outlook & Season 2 Changes (Comic Con – Video Interview)

Comic Con Press 6 300x153 Tracy Spiridakos Explains Charlies New Outlook & Season 2 Changes (Comic Con Video Interview)Tracy Spiridakos is a pleasure to see on the television screen, but even better to see in person. She just has that energy that makes you smile. Spiridakos answered some questions for us, but started by letting us know the new season starts off 3 months after the finale events of the first season.

She tells us, “there are a lot of hurt feelings and damage done between her and mother” hence her reason for sitting and going solo.

She goes on about her character and says, “in the beginning she was more about family and doing the right thing…so much happened so she doesn’t know where her morals lie. What decisions are right or wrong, so she emotionally shut down.” Will we see a tougher and stronger Charlie now that we did in the first season?

Watch the full interview below:

A last tidbit of information Tracy could give us was that the new season will have a “different feel and a different kick to it.” Are you ready?
