‘Revolution’ Gains Momentum This Week in Ratings

At 10, “Revolution” (2.1/6 in 18-49, 6.3 million viewers overall) was up a bit over last week’s preliminary estimate and should finish up about 11% in the nationals. The network went with more emotional, uplifting promotions leading up to this episode and that may have helped hold on to more of the core female audience from “The Voice.” In the 10:30 p.m. half-hour, “Revolution” matched last week’s rating in men 18-49 (1.5) but surged by 16% in women 18-49 (2.2 vs. 1.9).

Another Miles and Monroe Confrontation on the Way in ‘Revolution’

‘REVOLUTION’: ANOTHER MILES AND MONROE CONFRONTATION ON THE WAY

So…Monroe is a daddy. That happened!

But as shocked as Monroe was to find out he’d fathered a son, don’t expect the news to in any way delay his quest to stop Miles and Co. In fact, executive producer Eric Kripke promises another confrontation on the horizon. “They have another confrontation and sure enough they come to blows, but we were also interested in: Can we basically lock them up in a situation where they’re equally armed and equally matched — and not only are they trying to be a the crap out of each other — but forced into a situation where they have to talk to each other?” he says. “And so we play that out.”

Meanwhile, as the death count rises in every episode (Nice knowing you for two whole seconds, Emma!) Kripke didn’t rule out more — possibilty significant — farewells. “Anything’s possible on this show,” he says. “We are a show that takes place in a very dangerous world and there are high body counts. We’ve always said from the beginning — and to their credit, Bad Robot and the network have always been supportive of it — is we have to prove over and over again that this is a dangerous world, which means no on in our principle cast can be truly safe. We keep that tension alive. “
