‘Revolution’ Holds Steady During Hurricane Sandy

Revolution came back last night after a week hiatus with a 3.1 rating (-6%) and 8.39 million viewers.  With over 6 million people without power (literally) on the east coast, however, viewership and ratings may not be 100% accurate.  Some with working broadcasts were switched to their local weather outlets meaning anyone with their sets on at 10pm on NBC could affected the ratings.

‘Revolution’ – Episode 1×06 “Sex and Drugs” – Recap

Tonight’s episode begins with Charlie Company stealing a wagon from some members of the Monroe Militia. Nora is not doing well after being stabbed by Hutch last week. Miles says they are hours away from help. Aaron, the former Google millionaire, keeps saying everything is going to be fine. Charlie scoffs at him.

Flashback to the night of the blackout and Aaron is in a limo celebrating his anniversary with his wife. The power goes out, their limo stops, and they get hit by a runaway truck. Aaron has been an underdeveloped character so far, but I like him a lot. I am glad that it appears we are going to get an ep that explores him a bit more.

Monroe apologizes for Danny’s father being killed and says Capt. Neville will be punished for that. Monroe mentions that Danny looks like his mother. Danny, who still does not know his mother is alive, seems surprised. The guards take Danny away as Monroe says, “Remember, you are my guest here.” Somehow, I suspect that being Monroe’s guest will not be all that much fun.

Monroe and Capt. Neville are talking. Monroe has no plans to punish Neville. Instead, he offers him a promotion to head up intelligence and interrogations. Neville seems pleased that he will be able to stay close to home and his wife. This will obviously mean that Neville will get to interrogate, and probably torture, Danny.

10/29/2012 (10:01PM – 11:00PM) (Monday) : DANNY COMES FACE-TO-FACE WITH GENERAL MONROE – In order to save Nora (Daniella Alonso) from her injury, Miles (Billy Burke) leads the gang on a detour to visit an old acquaintance of his for medical support, but they quickly find themselves in unfriendly territory. Aaron (Zak Orth) recalls his meek history as he looks back at his pre/post-blackout life, and Neville (Giancarlo Esposito) delivers Danny (Graham Rogers) to Monroe (David Lyons).

Tracy Spiridakos, JD Pardo, Maria Howell, Tim Guinee and Elizabeth Mitchell also star.
